The design for the International Conference on Movement and Computing (MOCO) 2024 came together in two different phases. The first layer of the design was based on creative coding experiments inspired by the conference theme 'Beyond Control'. Through a piece of source code, input given to the keyboard was translated into a selection of random colorful, geometrical shapes. The second phase was inspired by the process of creation with computation that resides in between automation and manual manipulation. Here, a variety of images from the coding experiments were altered to make them appear softer and more 'fluid'. Aiming for the shapes to move accross the design in a way that reminds of its initial geometrical form, but as if taken-over by organic movement. The resulting design aims to display a sense of serendipity and the nonlinear process of human-computer experimentation.
